Do you believe!

Read Caption on 1st photo then look at second photo

Look at the picture above and you can see where this guy broke through the guardrail,
right side where the people are standing on the road (pointing). The pick-up was traveling
from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end, across the
culvert outlet, and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite
direction from which he was traveling.

Now look at the 2 ND picture below....

If this guy didn't believe in God before, do you suppose he believes now?

~Psalms 61:1-8 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah. For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations. He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him. So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.~

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. ~

Interesting how sometimes we feel that we have the "right" to know the "when/what/why/where/how's" .... but truthfully it really doesn't matter!
Our relationship with the Lord needs to be right, centered, and focus on HIM and all worries just fades away, and all the right things just fall into place.
We were given the ultimate gift at an ultimate price, so we really need not question the W/W/W/W/How's of anything written in Scripture by the Father, unless we are doing it with a willing heart to - 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? ~Luke 6:35-36 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.~

~Romans 1:19-22 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

~Job 11:13-19 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

~Exodus 20:1-17 And God spake all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
  1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
  2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
  3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  4. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
  5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
  6. Thou shalt not kill.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
  8. Thou shalt not steal.
  9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
  10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

~1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.~

The Bible Lives

Generation follows generation
– yet it lives.

Nations rise and fall
– yet it lives.

Kings, dictators, rulers come and go
– yet it lives.

Torn, condemned, burned
– yet it lives.

Hated, despised, cursed
– yet it lives.

Doubted, suspected, criticized
– yet it lives.

Damned by atheists
– yet it lives.

Scoffed at by scorners
– yet it lives.

Exaggerated by fanatics
– yet it lives.

Misconstrued and misstated
– yet it lives.

Ranted and raved about
– yet it lives.

Its inspiration denied
– yet it lives.

†♥††♥††♥††♥††♥††♥†

Yet it lives
– as a lamp to our feet.

Yet it lives
– as a light to our paths.

Yet it lives
– as the gate to Heaven.

Yet it lives
– as a standard for childhood.

Yet it lives
– as a guide for youth.

Yet it lives
– as an inspiration for the matured.

Yet it lives
– as a comfort for the aged.

Yet it lives
– as food for the hungry.

Yet it lives
– as water for the thirsty.

Yet it lives
– as rest for the weary.

Yet it lives
– as light for the heathen.

Yet it lives
– as salvation for the sinner.

Yet it lives
– as grace for the believer.

To know it is to love it.
To love it is to accept it.
To accept it means life eternal.

Leonard Ravenhill

If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified."

~ Leonard Ravenhill

Born in Leeds, in Yorkshire, England, he was educated at Cliff College in England and sat under the ministry of Samuel Chadwick. He was a student of church history and an expert in the field of revival. His meetings in the war years drew large crowds in Britain, and as a result many devoted themselves to Christian ministry and the world's mission fields.

In 1959, Ravenhill and his family moved from Great Britain to the United States. In the 1960's they traveled within the United States in tent revivals and evangelistic meetings.

In the 1980s, Ravenhill moved to a home near Lindale, Texas, a short distance from Last Days Ministries Ranch. He regularly taught classes at LDM and was a mentor to the late Keith Green.

Among others influenced by Ravenhill were Ravi Zacharias, Tommy Tenney, Steve Hill, Charles Stanley, Bill Gothard, Paul Washer, and David Wilkerson.

He was a close friend of pastor and writer A. W. Tozer and a prolific writer himself.

Through his teaching and books, Ravenhill addressed the disparities he perceived between the New Testament Church and the Church in his time and called for adherence to the principles of biblical revival.

Tozer said of Ravenhill:

To such men as this, the church owes a debt too heavy to pay. The curious thing is that she seldom tries to pay him while he lives. Rather, the next generation builds his sepulcher and writes his biography – as if instinctively and awkwardly to discharge an obligation the previous generation to a large extent ignored.

When he passed on in November 1994 , Ravenhill was interred in the same cemetery near Keith Green.

More quotes of his:
"If weak in prayer, we are weak everywhere." — Leonard Ravenhill

"Men give advice; God gives guidance." — Leonard Ravenhill

"Are the things you are living for worth Christ dying for?"
— Leonard Ravenhill

"A sinning man stops praying, a praying man stops sinning"
— Leonard Ravenhill

"The only reason we don't have revival is because we are willing to live without it!"
— Leonard Ravenhill

"God pity us that after years of writing, using mountains of paper and rivers of ink, exhausting flashy terminology about the biggest revival meetings in history, we are still faced with gross corruption in every nation, as well as with the most prayerless church age since Pentecost."
— Leonard Ravenhill

"The Church used to be a lifeboat rescuing the perishing. Now she is a cruise ship recruiting the promising."
— Leonard Ravenhill

"The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized within the lifetime of the opportunity."
— Leonard Ravenhill
