Our Tree of Knowledge

You know the more I live for Christ, the more I see His saving grace and abounding wisdom in my life! I may not like it sometimes, but is just what I need when I need it!

Just when you feel you have it down, you have all your ducks in a row, you have figured out what it's all about, you feel you are doing good and your life is where it's suppose to be ....

BAM!

God shakes your ground and starts pruning your tree of "knowledge" (actually lack there of) then .... boy oh boy do you REALLY realize ...
How much you still have left to learn through Christ.
How much we still have left to cling on Christ.
How much we still have left to kneel in pray to Christ.
How much we still have grace through Christ!!! -
Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus

The moment our focus is turned away from God, the moment we feel we have it all right and that we are doing good .... that's the moment that you should HALT and fall on your knees and pray. This is the a moment for scripture reflection. We can not trust ourselves, our heart is deceitful, only God knows our heart.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Acts 15:8 And God, which knoweth the hearts ...

We must NEVER think highly of ourselves we must strive daily to be in the WORD, practice it, speak it, LIVE IT!
As sinners we need God everyday, we will never be in a place where we will be "fine" without God ... that's not going to happen ... don't count on it, don't hold your breath!

We were created for the purpose of serving and glorifying God, and in His goodness, in His mercy, in His grace, and in His love .... He gives us soooo much more than we could ever ask for, and most certainly so much more than we deserve!

Delve into Scripture today .... I'm sure if you look you will find areas of your life that need attention, prayer and God's providence.

Are you loving God will ALL YOUR HEART - Luke 10:25-28 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
Likewise are you loving your neighbor? - Luke 10:25-28

It would be foolish of us to even think that we are in such a good place that we are no longer in need of God's providence? And yet, when God blesses us with these wondrous times ... we seek less of our Lord? That is until troubles befall us THEN we remember how much we need Him again.

We must remember who we belong to and whom we serve! It is truly an honor to not only know of the Lord Jesus Christ, not only serve Him, but to actually have Him residing in my heart is a joy that mere words can not explain and I shall not try! How awesome it would be to sing praises to God and lift up our hearts in joy when we receive His blessings, not forget Him when He bestows us with kindness.

Just know that we are in constant need of His wisdom, grace, mercy, peace, understanding, forgiveness, love, and care! Christ is beyond the word "worthy" we owe it all to Him!

Psalms 18:1-3 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

PRAISE GOD that we serve such a redeeming Lord.

How is your "Tree of Knowledge" in yourself today? Do you have it all worked out? Do you find yourself not needing God anymore? Is life just the way you want it? Think about it because when the shaking begins, AND IT WILL, you will find yourself starting again at square one ... remember this is a blessing and a time of reprioritizing. Be blessed during this time and thank God, rejoice and stay in prayer.
2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

May the grace and peace of God be with you always!
